I have looked and there is not a way to do this for comments any longer. I think it might be a great addition to your already great theme. We have over 600 subscribers, so that might be way to much to do. Plus, I would want them to pick their own color. Not me pick it for them. At least I did find how to change the admin's color for comments with a plugin: http://jessai.fr.nf That worked. Now...to figure out the other...Thanks. I would strongly recommend creating a Child-Theme for this as it will require adding CSS elements and properties for the theme to use. A Child-Theme will preserve those 'edits' so updates will not over-write your changes.
